WORKS

AIMAMA
This multidisciplinary art project investigates the concept of "perfection," examining its implications within the realms of algorithmic ethics, consciousness, embodiment, and cultural biases. By questioning, "If you created a 'perfect' mother with a perfect algorithm, would you become a 'perfect' child?" the work opens a dialogue about the human and ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence.
The project employs cutting-edge technologies such as 3D modeling and animation, GPT-2 and GPT-3 language models, AR-based posters, AI-generated poetry, and natural language processing (NLP) experiments with comparative models like GPT-3 and CPM-EVA. These elements collectively interrogate how algorithmic "perfection" reflects and perpetuates cultural and systemic biases, particularly between Eastern and Western technological paradigms.
Through its fusion of technological mediums and philosophical inquiry, the work challenges audiences to rethink the relationship between artificial intelligence, identity, and the evolving definitions of humanity in the digital age.

ritual and healing
Ritual and Healing is an audiovisual work interplay of light, shadow, form, narrative sound, and metaphor, explores a natural ecology devastated by human dominance. Through diverse frequencies and metaphors evoke both the natural world and human emotions, and to transcend the traditional divide between subject and object, questioning the very existence of such distinctions. The work offers a unique auditory and visual experience, with many viewers reporting a sense of healing.
Ritual and Healing was showcased at IRCAM in the Centre Pompidou, London Craft Week 2022, and the China-UK Tech Summit 2024. The project was also interviewed by CGTN Europe.

THE STONE-CENE
The Stonecene is presented through multiple immersive formats, including an interactive VR experience, 3D imagery, and a physical immersive space. This work explores the interconnectedness of the material and digital worlds through the use of sound frequencies and vibrations, drawing inspiration from string theory, which suggests that everything, both matter and energy, is in constant motion at a molecular level. The digital recreation of Stonehenge, a symbol of ancient memory and collective consciousness, serves as the central motif. In this work, vibrations are not simply background elements but are integrated into the space as a driving force that permeates both the physical and virtual realms. The immersive space allows viewers to feel the sonic frequencies physically, while the 3D imagery and VR experience offer a more dynamic, digital engagement. By combining these formats, the work emphasizes the idea that in a posthuman world, the virtual and the physical are no longer separate but exist as intertwined vibrations within a unified, ever-evolving system.
The Stone-cene was exhibited at The Outernet London in 2023 and IRCAM at the Centre Pompidou in the same year. In 2024, it was honored with an award by the Lumen Art Gallery.

INTHEDREAM,YOUARE
In the Dream, You Are is a transmedia work blending moving images, installation, and a VR experience, unified by poetry and sound narratives. The moving image uses microscopic photography of slime mold, symbolizing interconnectedness and resilience.
Set in a post-human future, the narrative explores ecosystems disrupted by human actions, with the virtual world as a seductive but deceptive sanctuary. The two spaces—physical and virtual—are connected by slime mold, representing life beyond traditional categories and mirroring the intangible networks of digital systems. Philosophically, the work blurs boundaries between human and non-human, real and artificial. Slime mold’s ancient memory and structure traverse past, present, and future, reflecting humanity’s shifting identity and connection to nature.
In the Dream, You Are was exhibited at UAL 2022 and Hangzhou Olympic Center 2023, and featured in multiple magazines in 2024.

MUTIPLE
This work explores childhood trauma and its potential to lead to dissociative identity disorder (DID). The piece reflects on the effects of rural isolation, cultural rejection, and the emotional conflict that arises from them. By intertwining metaphors with the disjointed nature of memory and dissociation, the work encourages reflection on the complex relationships between mental health, societal structures, and personal identity.

REPARATIVE
Reparative Reverberations is an interactive narrative that uses sound frequencies and augmented reality to help individuals explore and balance their inner frequencies. Drawing from concepts like chakras, Hertz frequencies, and color psychology, the piece guides users through a sensory journey, promoting self-discovery and emotional healing. It encourages reflection on personal imbalances and fosters a transformative experience.
Reparative Reverberations was showcased at IRCAM in the Centre Pompidou.

BIPOLAR
This moving image and performance piece, with sound narration, explores the emotional extremes of bipolar disorder. Using metaphors like the Thousand-Handed Guanyin and Four-sided Buddha, it contrasts the states of depression and mania. Through delicate whispers and dissonant soundscapes, the work immerses the audience in the inner turmoil of the disorder, inspired by Chinese philosophical ideas of duality and transformation.

HOMELESS
This art fundraising project, in collaboration with the national charity Crisis, uses data visualization to analyze the causes of homelessness. By collecting texts from homeless individuals, we explore their experiences and the emotional dimensions of homelessness.
The project aims to raise awareness through both online and offline fundraising activities, highlighting the urgent need for housing and support. Through interactive technologies, such as 360-degree video and animation, we offer a deeper understanding of homelessness, fostering empathy and encouraging social change.

AIPSYCHO
This experimental short film explores the intersection of AI deep learning, algorithmic bias, and Foucault's Madness and Civilization. In a post-human world, human consciousness abandons the body, defining emotions like love as madness. AI robots designed to learn these emotions are deemed psychotic, imprisoned, and destroyed by those in power. The film critiques the evolving concepts of madness and rationality, highlighting the oppression of power through the lens of perceived "rationality." It encourages viewers to reconsider the future of AI with emotional consciousness and humanity's mechanization.

HYTOPIA
"Heterotopia: The Land of Others" is an immersive visual and sound art project presented at A8 Design Center. Through dynamic installations and plant-based designs, the project examines the relationship between self and otherness. It invites viewers to reflect on overlapping identities, temporal layers, and their role as observers or intruders in a carefully constructed yet transient “other world.”

UME
This project developed with The Future Laboratory at Tsinghua University and the FAO, transforms Japan's Tanabe plum system—a GIAHS agricultural heritage—into a digital interactive experience. Using platforms like ROBLOX, it blends narrative design, XR visuals, and interactivity to preserve cultural heritage and promote sustainability in the digital age.

INVASIVE
This experimental short film explores gender, power, and liberation in the posthuman era, using 3D modeling to imagine a world where biotechnology allows humans and AI to transform, exchange, and redefine their physical and reproductive attributes. Inspired by Freud's pan-sexualism, marital rape cases, and female hyenas' reproductive systems, the film challenges patriarchal constructs tied to traditional reproductive roles. By envisioning liberated bodies and reproductive choices, it invites reflection on how technological advancements could foster greater gender equality and freedom.
